WeChat Pay
WeChat Pay is Tencent's payment service embedded in WeChat, with usage that spans most of mainland China. Buyers complete checkout by scanning a QR code or inside a WeChat mini-program; authentication happens inside WeChat with a passcode or biometric. Like Alipay, WeChat Pay is a push payment — funds move from the buyer's wallet directly to the merchant's settling balance, so there is no card-style chargeback flow. Cross-border acceptance is available for international merchants serving Chinese consumers.
