PIX
PIX is the instant payment scheme operated by the Banco Central do Brasil. Adoption has been near-universal since launch in late 2020 — for many Brazilian buyers PIX is now the default online payment method. Parapay exposes PIX through a QR code or copy-paste key flow: the buyer authorizes the transfer in their bank's app and Parapay receives a final settlement event within seconds. Because PIX is a push payment, the rail does not carry card-style chargebacks; reconciliation references are forwarded as standard webhooks for order matching.
